Before I start I would like to say, I don't actually know anything about fashion.


You can not hold up a pair of couture shoes and expect me to shout the designer's name, birthplace, and preferred brand of toothpaste. I do not deem myself a "fashionista" per se, but I know what I like, what's "in," and (not to toot my own horn or anything) I'd say I have a decent sense of color, shape, and what looks good on others. So, just in case anyone cool were to stumble upon this blog I would not want to decieve them into thinking that I'm a trendy twenty-something with a small dog in a large purse that drinks lattes and lives in New York. I'm just a simple 16 year old, in Iowa (one of the least stylish places in the U.S.) who is interested in art and fashion and was assigned to compose a blog for AP Lang.


So, I apologize if I've disappointed anyone, but I felt that need to be said. However, I hope that those who decide to read this blog enjoy my talk of trends and today's goings on in the fashion world and I encourage feedback and others' opinions.
