Have you ever wondered who the mysterious group of people are that are referred to when people say "You know what they say?" Who are they? Why do they say all these things? Are they ancient scholars who've acquired years of knowledge? Are they some pals that say funny stuff? Why don't we specify who "they" are? Are there bunches of groups of theys who all have their own sayings? Are "they" every other person on the Earth who knew this saying before you did? Do "they" still make new sayings? Well, you know what they say, I guess we'll never know. (I don't actually think they say that)
